Membership in the PPK-APA and attendance of the chapter meetings is a great way to meet other Payroll Professionals in the Kentuckiana area, discuss common concerns, and share information and past experiences. This PPK Chapter has been active in the Louisville Community since 1992.
Meetings and Seminars
The PPK-APA holds meetings every month (generally on Friday) and presents a speaker on subjects impacting the payroll profession such as current and future legislation, technology, compensation, and fringe benefits. Speakers include representatives of government agencies. The chapter also sponsors an annual Mini-Conference.
Our chapter publishes a newsletter with articles and other information of interest to local members. This can be found at the bottom of the Events page.
CPP Study Group
For members who are planning to take the Certified Payroll Professional or the Fundamental Payroll Certification exam, we offer a study group facilitated by currently Certified Payroll Professional members to assist in preparing for certification. For further information, see the Events Page.
National Payroll Week
As a joint effort with the APA, the local chapter is active in recognizing all Payroll Professionals for the vital role they play in maintaining the smooth functioning of the payroll tax withholding system and for working effectively with federal, state, and local tax officials.
